Our expectations of a quiet and comfortable week at Field View Cottage were fully met, thanks to Sonia’s welcoming and helpful advice given shortly after we arrived. The cottage is certainly well furnished, equipped and maintained, and being set in one of our favourite areas of glorious Suffolk..amidst rural peace and calm...is a haven for a relaxed time away from the bustle of workaday life....many thanks. Ralph, (Stayed July 2023)
Cottage was a great place for 2 . The location was great for visiting all of the Suffolk coast and lots of local walks. Cottage was well equipped and the bed very comfy. Would recommend and would stay again. Neil, (Stayed April 2023)
Compact and bijou Well presented, and ideal for our requirements. Perfect for our small dachshund, with enclosed garden. Susan, (Stayed September 2018)
A very enjoyable stay. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend to others. Thanks Sonia Cathy, (Stayed September 2018)

“Lovely cottage perfect for couples looking for a quiet quaint place to chill ” Robert, (Stayed August 2018)
Filed View Cottage stands on the property of the owner who is kind and helpful. The cottage is well designed and has everything required for a weekend or a few days' stay. The standard of furnishing and equipment is high . This cottage is a very pleasant little nest in which to be secluded and quiet. The area is wonderfully car free with empty lanes stretching for miles Susan, (Stayed April 2018)

My son and daughter booked this lovely little cottage for a weekend break for myself and daughter for mothers day..there was everything that you needed for a quiet comfortable stay, we were even allowed to take our little dog..it was a lovely break with lovely scenery and near to a lot of places including Framlingham castle, Dunwich, and Southwold. Would highly recommend. Atlanta, (Stayed March 2018)
Fantastic place to stay-What a lovely quiet cottage, with a fantastic host Thank you so much Sonia for great few days away Alison, (Stayed February 2018)
The accommodation was extremely cosy and comfortable. The property was spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed for our use. Sonia could not do enough to make sure we were well looked after, and we knew that if we had any problems they would be dealt with immediately, which was very reassuring. We would not hesitate to use the cottage again and would definitely recommend it to friends. Davies, Merriott, Somerset, (Stayed January 2018)
Small cottage but ideal for mini-break for two people. Very clean and tidy, with easy parking outside and a small courtyard garden, ideal for small dogs. Good location for Suffolk countryside and half hour from Aldeburgh and the coast. Nicholas, (Stayed November 2017)
My partner and I unexpectantly found some time to have a last minute break away from reality and to take our Dog Bella on holiday! We emailed Field View cottage just 4 days before we would be due to arrive and were so pleased that our very last minute plans seemed not to be a problem at all for Sonia and we were all booked within a matter of hours. When we arrived we were thrilled with the cottage, Sonia greeted us and our Labrador Husky very warmly and pointed us towards the nearest dog walks and pubs. The cottage itself was A LOT bigger than we had expected and we were in awe of the attention to detail and the high quality finish on the property! Everything was spotlessly clean making the fact that it was such a dog friendly cottage almost unbeleivable! The cottage was set up with everything we could possibly have needed and some wonderful homely touches and thoughtful items on top! Im almost sure the kitchen is better equipped than our own! Despite almost constant torrential rain, We had a completely wonderful visit to Suffolk and the cottage is in the PERFECT location for a base! We stayed 3 nights and managed to travel out to Southwold, Aldeburgh, Sizewell, Thorepness, Framingham and Saxmundham to name a few! It was lovely to have our beautiful cosy cottage to return to after a hard days touristing in the rain! We can not fault the cottage and the host and have already recommended it to my parents and some friends! We also very much hope to return ourselves! Thank you Sonia! Matthew, Bella and I had a truly excellent stay! Laura-Jane, (Stayed August 2017)
Small but perfectly fitted out. There was everything there that we could possibly need plus a lovely little private gravel garden with table and chairs. The bed was a bit hard but everyone likes different things and we are getting old! Wonderful position for our whistlestop tour of Suffolk - we even got up to the Southern Broads for a boat trip. There are lots of walks straight out of the door of the cottage or further afield. Suffolk signpost their footpaths very well and there seem to be masses of them. All the field margins are wide and easy to walk around. David, (Stayed May 2017)
Lovely little cottage ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous bank holiday away. This is a lovely little cottage and was the perfect base for us. Thank you for being so accommodating. Alastair, (Stayed April 2017)
Perfect little get away ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived about 9pm so it was dark. Sonia had put the lights and heating on so it was nice and cosy when we arrived. Cute little bungalow cottage, well kitted out with everything to suit our needs. Enclosed garden so our dog could roam without us worrying about him getting out, very peaceful. Just what we needed for a few nights away from it all. Framlingham 10 min drive away. We visited the castle then went on to Aldeburgh in the afternoon for fish and chips on the beach. Lovely places to walk in the area. Sonia was very accommodating. Would highly recommend for a couple who want a break from day to day life. Hope to come back again soon. Thank you Alex and Jack, (Stayed April 2017)
There are not many properties for a couple with 2 small dogs in this area and this one is highly recommended. With a Waitrose 10 mins away in Saxmundham and a Cooks at Woodbridge home eating is easy and convenient. Back garden is gravel and completely secure so easy for the dogs. Wifi was getting 6mps. Well marked local dog walking routes but use OS map to reduce usage of local roads. Brudenel at Aldeborough has good fish menu and is dog friendly sitting outside with views of sea. Only downside is mostly shingle beaches so try Lowestoft, Pakefield and Southwold but depends on time of year if on or off lead. Would use again if needed to stay in this area. Tina & Ian, (Stayed March 2017)
Lovely accommodation in a great location for exploring the local towns and villages. With Southwold and Aldeburgh within an easy drive for the sea this makes for a perfect mix for a break away. Stephen W, (Stayed February 2017)
Our stay at Field View cottage was wonderful. We were in a quiet country location which is just what we wanted with a 4 month old baby, yet we were only 10 minutes away from local amenities. The cottage was wonderfully equipped and decorated, as well as being very cosy. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were also awaiting us on our arrival which was a lovely touch. Sonia was a wonderful host (and also her son Zac) who were great at sorting out the wifi very quickly when it went off unexpectedly. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning again soon. Fiona, (Stayed December 2016)
This cottage is amazing! Sonia has thought of everything! Everyone was really friendly, Sonia gave us recommended walks and trips as well as leaving a welcome pack with loads of places to visit! Tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits! Beaches within 20 minute drive, the location is lovely very rural, quiet and peaceful! We absolutely loved it here and will definitely be going back! :-) Lysette, (Stayed December 2016)
Great little cottage - perfect for a few days off the grid with my dogs. Cottage was immaculately clean on arrival, nice little touches such as biscuits, tea and coffee were most welcome. Great shower, comfortable bed, everything very well thought out and a great use of space. Really loved having double doors off both the sitting area and the bedroom and (as the weather was good) slept with the doors open at night which was a real treat. Great to have a totally dog proof rear garden and amazing walks right on the doorstep. Sonia made us feel very welcome and the coast is only about 20 mins away in the car. Lovely get fresh eggs from the farm half a mile away too! We'll be back! Jo, (Stayed August 2016)
