Exposed beams, brick floors and a wood burning stove create a cosy and inviting ambience and a mixture of old meets new. The bi-folds doors seamlessly blend the charming interior of The Cart Lodge to the natural landscapes of the garden and pond. The bedroom is thoughtfully designed including glazed balustrade delivering light from the sitting room below and with french doors onto a small balcony. This is a charming retreat for a couple looking for a relaxing weekend ( or longer!) in a very stylish holiday home. This part of Suffolk is famously flat so great for cycling and rambling, with footpaths across neighbouring fields towards Mendlesham. With easy access to Norwich city, the market towns of Framlingham, Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and the pretty villages of west Suffolk this is an ideal base to explore from, although you probably won't want to leave The Cart Lodge.
Fantastic accommodation, fully equipped kitchen, etc. Outside space was wonderful, decking and rocking chairs by the pond. Fire in the evening. TV in the bedroom, wonderful shower etc etc! Hosts were lovely, and accommodating! Book if you can!!!!” Sarah, (Stayed August 2017)
A lovely stay thank you. Beautiful house and grounds, and we enjoyed the welcome goodies - very tasty! Anna, (Stayed August 2017)
An honour to be your first guests! A beautiful home which catered for our every need - sure to be back again soon Lewis, (Stayed August 2017)
Such a beautiful, inspiring and special place! Lara, (Stayed August 2017)
The Cart Lodge is simply perfect. The location is so beautiful and every little element has been carefully considered. The outside space is just wonderful and full of so much beautiful wildlife. We even had a kingfisher come and keep us company. The lodge itself has been beautifully finished and was a true pleasure to relax in and enjoy. Denise was great with her communication and welcome. Thank you. Rebekah, (Stayed September 2017)
A wonderful sanctuary away from hectic lives. The Cart Lodge is beautiful, you really have thought of everything. Thank you! Bekah & Perry, (Stayed September 2017)
WOW! From the moment we stepped into The Cart Lodge, we loved everything about it. Every need was catered for. It has everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away from it all. The flowers that my husband requested were exquisite! Thank you, much appreciated!!! Lovely goodies as well and we will be back! Lorraine and Terry, (Stayed September 2017)
We stayed in this beautiful lodge in October, just in time to make the most of the log burning stove and the wool blankets. Ideally situated, we were a quick stroll from the most incredible deli.. where we not only breakfasted but stocked up on incredible meats, cheeses, crackers and beers for the evening. Not far from the Lodge were lovely walks and an abdundance of proper country pubs including an excellent vegetarian pub just down the road. The house itself has been built from beautiful materials and with every creature comfort one could wish for. Sitting outside in the morning, overlooking the pond in rocking chairs and reading was bliss. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful and very generous too. A lovely little welcome gift was a real sursprise. I would highly recommend staying in this luxurious hideaway, total no brainier Helen, (Stayed October 2017)
Absolutely loved this place. Highly recommended! Cottage tree were so helpful and Denise and Adrian the owners super lovely. Perfect in every way.. from the amazing deli to the perfect, luxury house we had a great time. Thanks so much :) Helen, (Stayed October 2017)
The lodge was a perfect place to stay for a relaxing weekend and for people looking for more freedom than a typical hotel. It was a well equipped and high quality accommodation, as nice as any 5* hotel. The owners Denise and Adrian have clearly put a lot of work into all the small details and the welcome pack was delightful! Amy, (Stayed October 2017)
