A perfectly proportioned, beamed barn conversion for two with vaulted ceilings and large windows filling the rooms with light.

French doors open from the sitting room onto pretty lawns and flowerbeds and a walled section of garden. Beautiful oak doors lead through to the well-equipped galley style kitchen and to the wet-room style shower room. The spacious bedroom is furnished with cream and oak furniture and a vintage wardrobe: there is plenty of room for guests to bring a travel cot too. This area of North Suffolk is gently undulating with quiet lanes making it idea for rambling or cycling. With a gentle nautical feel throughout, The Mary Rose is a perfect place to relax and enjoy rural Suffolk.

Whilst young babies are very welcome, this property is not suitable for toddlers due to surrounding open water ponds and moats.

"Thank you for a lovely bank holiday weekend. The place is beautiful, you have lovely taste and we feel very lucky to be your first guests. We had a lovely trip to Southwold and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and fresh air. Thank you again!" Sebastian

Lovely stay at MaryRose Cottage. We explored a lot and made use of the guide books and maps. The scones and bread were delicious. We would definitely come back to Suffolk and the cottage had everything needed. A home from home in the tranquil location with a beautiful garden Graham, (Stayed August 2019)
“Mary Rose Cottage is situated in very tranquil countryside perfect for exploring the area and close to the coastal area of natural beauty. The cottage is well equipped for a comfortable stay.” Fay, (Stayed August 2019)
“A super, peaceful relaxing place to stay in a spotlessly clean and modern cottage. The patio is part of an immaculately kept garden, complete with friendly ducks and cat.” Stephen, (Stayed July 2019)
Great cottage in a picturesque rural location. The cottage had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. Lovely Pub with great food in the next village! (Thorndon) Zoe, (Stayed July 2019)
Mary Rose Cottage is a lovely, cosy, comfortable, beautifully furnished home away from home. Everything you could need is available and a lot of thought has gone into making the cottage really inviting. It was in a great peaceful location for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside Sue, (Stayed June 2019)
This beautiful cottage was exactly as advertised. We equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom and spotlessly clean. Lots of nice touches for example , Prosecco, biscuits, bread , butter, milk, washing up liquid. Plus soap etc in bathroom. Which meant we could literally turn up and start to enjoy our short break in Suffolk. Very quiet and peaceful setting. We can recommend Weavers in DIss and the Crown in Westleton (over near Dunwich on the coast). Richard, (Stayed April 2019)
A very peaceful, well appointed self contained cottage. We enjoyed the chocolate biscuits and prosecco! Hilary, (Stayed February 2019)
What a fantastic place to stay! Amazing attention to detail, everything you could want in a kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom. Great to have a choice of DVD's to watch. Such a charming house in immaculate grounds in a quiet and peaceful location. We arrived during a cold snap but the cottage was very snug and warm. We would love to come again, and would definitely recommend to others! Julie and Viv, (Stayed October 2018)
“We both loved the place and the views, it was so lovely and cosy inside. My partner really liked the sky lights! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.” Susannah, (Stayed October 2018)
Cottage Tree is beautiful. Such a gorgeous location and the cottage itself has everything you need, in a beautiful setting. A loaf of fresh bread, butter and jam waiting for me too. Highly recommend it Michelle, (Stayed September 2018)
“Amazing cottage in a beautiful setting with all of the small touches which make for a fabulous weekend break.” Karly, (Stayed August 2018)
Stayed here as a bridge the night before our wedding and as a couple on the wedding night. A beautiful cottage to be in - everything was absolutely perfect for us! Thank you! Karly, (Stayed August 2018)
Thank you for an absolutely fantastic break. We were blown away with the impeccable standards of the cottage, and we couldn't of imagined the level of thought that went in to making us feel welcome. The location of the cottage was perfect, and we will definitely be looking to arrange a return visit! Thank you again Dan and Reanna, (Stayed August 2018)
Absolutely beautiful house! Thank you so much for your welcome gifts especially the bread which we very much enjoyed. We come equipped with many things worrying the house wouldn't be ready (such as toilet rolls) but were pleasantly surprised when we found everything we needed even down to butter and milk. This long-weekend break has been a welcome change as we both have high-stress jobs so the peace and quiet has been amazing! We will be back, and again, thank you so much! Dan, (Stayed August 2018)
We had a lovely stay in The Mary Rose and a wonderful trip around Suffolk; fish and chips on the beach in Aldeburgh (The Golden Galleon is really good), swimming at Thorpeness and ice cream in Southwold. A great little break. The Mary Rose is a great base for visiting the Suffolk Coast! Adam, (Stayed July 2018)

What a beautiful place! I live in a remote part of Northumberland and really appreciate quiet open spaces in peaceful countryside. The Mary Rose doesn't disappoint! Such tasteful decor and so thoughtfully equipped. It's also handy for visiting my Suffolk extended family so I may be back! Thank you! Terri, (Stayed June 2018)
We stayed for a very enjoyable weekend at The Mary Rose which was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great for walks and there are some pubs serving delicious food in the area which was a bonus. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts and will be returning for sure!
