Very spacious home for 8 people. Great to have all bedrooms ensuite. Lovely big kitchen for family dining. Well worth a short walk to the fish selling sheds for fresh fish or a prepared platter. Anita, (Stayed September 2023)
A beautiful house, spacious and clean! Perfect for a family holiday. Each room having their own bathroom was beyond amazing! 10/10 for location with a short walk to Aldeburgh beach and town. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Jade, (Stayed September 2023)
Enjoyed a few nights stay in this peaceful spacious property close to the beach. Very well equipped large kitchen and living room with entertainment like board games, dvds and books. Nice bedrooms and again lots of useful things like hairdryer’s and children’s books. Pin pong table in the garden was a hit! And the carport was very useful. Fantastic location, a stones throw ;) to the beach and a short walk to Aldeburgh high street, slightly longer walks to Thorpeness in one direction and the Martello tower in the other. Mark, (Stayed August 2023)
Really enjoyed our 4 night stay, Cherry Tree House was spotless, well equipped and everything worked with good instructions provided if needed. The bedrooms were all big with really comfy beds. The position is great with a very quick walk to the sea for an early morning swim. The area is lovely and so clean with lots of quirky shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend. Jacqueline, (Stayed July 2023)
A lovely house in a perfect location Elizabeth, (Stayed July 2023)
We stayed at Cherry Tree Cottage with our daughters, husbands & grandson for my husband's 70th birthday. Lovely house, with a great kitchen for foodie son to cook in and where we enjoyed a couple of great family meals. Very close to the beach so we could easily walk into Aldeburgh, we could see Maggi Hambling's wonderful scallop from the vast master bedroom and a half an hour's walk into Thorpeness. Sheltered garden was great for our 5 year old football obsessed grandson, it is well designed and we even managed to have lunch outside, sheltered from the wind. Planning another trip to Aldeburgh later in the year, can recommend the Suffolk for great fish, the fresh catches from the cabins and coffee & goodies from the Two Magpies. Very happy with our choice. Helen, (Stayed April 2023)
Large spacious home in a wonderful location - within easy reach of the main high street and beach. All amenities clean and easy to use. Host very accommodating and easy to reach. Wonderful place! Steven, (Stayed April 2023)
We had a lovely short break in Aldeburgh, making family memories. Cherrytree house was exceptional with huge bedrooms and ensuite facilities, allowing everyone their own privacy. Would highly recommend, and loved being able to walk to the beach or the lovely high street. We had a lovely stay, thankyou. Just what we needed as a family after a terrible year losing my mother suddenly. Being able to take my dad and my children who are young adults to spend some quality time together was very special, and cherytree house was the cherry on the top Suzie, (Stayed March 2023)
So glad we decided to book this cottage for a last minute nostalgic trip to Aldeburgh, after overseas plans fell through. It's an easy 2/3 hour drive from Heathrow to the coast. Cottage Tree were really accommodating and replied immediately to our request. The house is immaculate - airy and spacious, relaxing neutral decor and in a quiet close just minutes from the sea (there are sea views from the bedrooms). Comfy beds, fresh white linen and towels. Really well equipped kitchen and convivial eat in dining table (recommend bringing back fresh seafood/fish from the stalls on the beach front for BBQ). We loved it - swimming each day, exploring the shops and restaurants of Aldeburgh, and venturing out to Snape and the beautiful 'Red House'. The courtyard garden is also really pretty and peaceful to relax in, planted with eponymous cherry trees, rambling roses and anemones. Highly recommended - thank you to the owners and Cottage Tree. Kate, (Stayed July 2022)
A great location and a well maintained, excellently equipped house with a lovely garden. Walk to the beach in 2 mins, main high street in 10mins. Area is very peaceful. Philip, (Stayed July 2022)

We were 4 couples staying in this lovely house. Well equipped kitchen so we could self cater. Garden small but perfect for eating outside. Great location for walking and we had a lovely day in Southwold too. Comfy beds, spacious rooms and great en-suites. We can recommend to families and couples, we really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Jo, (Stayed October 2021)
A beautiful house in great setting. Easy to reach sea for morning swim or for a walk to Aldeburgh or Thorpeness. All 4 bedrooms are good size and are really comfortable. Great sheltered sitting area at back. Bonus is free parking on side road if there are a few cars. Luella, (Stayed October 2021)
Great house, really roomy, good location and spotlessly clean Julian, (Stayed September 2021)
A lovely house with 4 great en-suite bedrooms. Everywhere was clean. We spent most of the time either in the garden or the big kitchen. Great location. Easy walk to Aldeburgh. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Host really Helpful. Georgina, (Stayed September 2021)

Really beautiful home with a lovely private garden. It was really spacious and all the rooms were bright and beautifully decorated. Also the bed was very comfortable! Would definitely stay here again. Kate, (Stayed April 2021)
“This is a beautiful house with fantastically proportioned rooms. No one will feel cheated for space. It is also in a perfect location for the beach and town.” Laura, (Stayed September 2020)
1st class property definitely stay again Sandra, (Stayed September 2020)
We had a great weekend in this beautiful house. The pictures do not do justice to the space and quality of the rooms! A lovely large kitchen with great facilities, a comfy lounge with lots of space and the bedrooms and en-suites were fab. The two front bedrooms had good sea views and the garden at the rear would be a great suntrap in the summer not so much on our cold and windy visit. For a large house it got very warm despite the cold outside - although there was a hiccup with the heating when we arrived - in that it wasnt working - but that was soon sorted out over the phone and once the house had heated through all was well. A good location in lovely Aldeburgh, edge of town but 2 minutes from the sea. We walked into the shops and restaurants in about 10 minutes. We hope to come again in the summer! Andy, (Stayed March 2020)
A fabulous house to stay in for making memories on a visit to Aldeburgh with friends and family. All the home comforts and more! Tracey, (Stayed January 2020)
Lovely house, a lot larger than we expected. Close to beach and town, we would highly recommend it Melanie, (Stayed December 2019)
Cherry Tree is a lovely house, very suitable for a family stay. There is plenty of room and the kitchen in particular is very well equipped. Great location Wendy, (Stayed October 2019)
This is a lovely family house. It is spacious and light and very well equipped. The location is really good, just a short walk to the beach and Aldeburgh town centre. It has a nice comfortable feel to it and we would certainly go back again. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 2 babies and there was ample room for us all Robert, (Stayed September 2019)
Have just spent a week at Cherry Tree House, Aldeburgh. Our second stay there. We could not fault the place. Perfect accommodation and perfect location. For 4 couples it was absolutely ideal, with the 4 en-suite bathrooms and downstairs toilet facilities. We spent most of our time in the large kitchen around the dining table enjoying drinks in the evening and every appliance and utensil was there for us to cook some lovely meals at the house. We even managed to dine in the garden for a few lunchtime meals. We had some lovely breakfasts by the lake in Thorpeness which was only a 4 minute drive by car. Well worth a visit. The location of the house is Ideal for us with elderly parents who can’t walk far. We all enjoyed ice creams along the coast and the local pubs were so friendly and food was delicious. We all had a little spend up in the high street in the little unique shops. We enjoyed several little drives to neighbouring villages for drinks and food. So much beauty on the doorstep. We all look forward to returning again next year and would like to thank Sue for being so helpful and also for responding so promptly whenever we have had a question. What a great little holiday we have just had. Would highly recommend this house to everyone. It’s a little gem and very grand! Colleen, (Stayed September 2019)
“This is one of those places that Airbnb was invented for. The hosts are super nice and quick to respond, the house itself is better than it appears in the pictures and it was truly lovely. I cannot say enough good things about our stay here, except thank you!” Ben, (Stayed August 2019)
“The property is lovely and spacious As a large party including two children the garden was a bonus especially the table tennis table The house was well equipped and an easy walk Into the high street I would thoroughly recommend this property” Carol, (Stayed August 2019)
We stayed at the Cherry Tree Cottage in the Bank / term holiday week at the end of May as a family of four. We enjoyed both the house and the village and surrounding area, everything was perfect! Emilia, (Stayed June 2019)
Cherry Tree House is in a quiet and brilliant location, with a three minute walk to the beach and the small town centre with everything you need. The photo's don't really do it justice in terms of the size of the house, for a family of 8 adults and 2 young children there was certainly plenty of space for us all to not feel on top of each other. Great size bedrooms with each having en-suite which was a bonus, a huge family sitting room and very spacious kitchen with all the modern appliances needed to cook our huge Christmas meal. The house is very well kept, clean and tidy. The host where great always providing us with a quick response for all the many questions I had. Thank you so much for the lovely little touches, like the Christmas tree and the wine and chocolates on arrival. I would happily recommend the house to anyone, especially for a family get together, we are now planning a summer family get together to stay at Cherry Tree House. Jeanette, (Stayed December 2018)
“A beautifully presented, well equipped, lovely home, in a great location. The whole family had a great time and we hope to stay again in the not too distant future.” Alexandra, (Stayed November 2018)
Very impressed with this house. It looks great in the photos - but reality is even better. It’s very large and well appointed. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms look brand new. It’s in a lovely quiet street about 3 mins walk from the beach and 10 mins to the centre of town. It is really well stocked as a house and the ladies who manage the property are highly responsive and extremely helpful. I would strongly recommend this beautiful property and will hope to return Sabrina, (Stayed October 2018)
I wanted to say a big thank you for booking Cherry Tree House for us and for being so helpful. We all had a fabulous time in this beautiful house which definitely did not disappoint in any area whatsoever. We could not fault a single aspect of this place. The house was spotless and a real home from home. So tastefully decorated and we was not expecting so much space throughout the house. Every utensil and facility was provided for our needs and although we enjoyed several meals in town we also cooked at the house too and everything needed was available. Having 2 parking spaces was a great bonus too. The location was fabulous, being a 2 minute walk to the beach, which made a lovely stroll along to the shops/pubs/restaurants. Aldeburgh is such a lovely little quaint place and we cannot wait to book with you again. We came home so relaxed, all of us. Thanks again. Colleen and Colin, (Stayed September 2018)
“Very spacious and full of light. Great location - only a 3 minute walk from the beach and 15 minutes from the centre of town. Perfect for holidays with friends as all the bedrooms are generous (no one will feel hard done by) and kids (lots of room to play and a ping pong table in the garden). Already contemplating booking my next weekend there.” Kate, (Stayed August 2018)
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, the weather was perfect and felt like we were a million miles away from home. The house was beautiful, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Will highly recommend to family and friends. Helen, (Stayed August 2018)
“A beautiful, spacious and immaculately presented home with every possible amenity. A stone's throw from the beach and easy walking distance into town with all its lovely shops and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer.” Rachel, (Stayed July 2018)
This is a fantastic house with large rooms in a superb location, highly recommended Tony, (Stayed April 2018)
Fantastic house! Spacious, sparkling and great location, close to the beach and town. Would definitely recommend it! Miranda, (Stayed April 2018)
We had an amazing time in your home! It's a beautiful place and was a great place for a family reunion. The beds were fantastic and the en-suites added an extra comfort. It was an excellent base for a weekend exploring the area - Thank You Greg, Esther & family, (Stayed November 2017)
Cherry Tree Cottage was everything we hoped for and more. Such a lovely spacious house well equipped and in a great spot for beach and access to Aldborough. So quiet and peaceful in the house and garden. Great service from Cottage Tree allowing us in a little early and everything well organised. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you David, (Stayed July 2017)
“This is a friendly and relaxing family house. It was well equipped, spacious (we all loved the ensuite to each bedroom) and spotlessly clean. The garden was lovely with outside dining for the whole family and smaller/intimate seating areas - perfect for a 'quiet five minutes'. We are sure the TV/DVDs etc were excellent but we did not get around to viewing as the weather was so lovely - how did you 'arrange' that? Minor issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently without any intrusion to our stay. Thanks to you and your team for helping to make a family weekend even more special. No complaints - we will probably stay again - will also be more than happy to recommend! ” Batley Family, (Stayed June 2017)
Thank you for sharing your fabulous house - by far the best holiday cottage we have stayed in over the years. Loved the spacious rooms, quality furnishings & the proximity to the beach. A wonderful stay x Burt/Williams family, (Stayed June 2017)
Thank you for a very special birthday weekend in this super, spacious house. Three generations from 7-81 yrs had a great time. We especially enjoyed the lovely garden-so peaceful with lots of opportunities to sit in the sun or shade and smell the roses! Thank you Inman Family, (Stayed June 2017)
