Attracting holidaymakers of all ages, the beautiful beach alone is reason enough to visit Southwold. An ideal place to be able to abandon the car and explore by foot or bicycle.
Southwold Pier, which has seen much development and improvement throughout the last 30 years, is now home to a select array of bespoke craft shops, a restaurant and cafe, and unique entertainment - such as the quirky ‘House of Games’ or the amazing machines in Tim Unkin’s ‘Under the Pier Show’.
The high street has a good selection of shops, mostly independent, covering everything that you might need during your stay to sustain or fulfill. With numerous pubs, cafe and restaurants too, you need not eat in the same place twice!
Southwold is of course the home to Adnams, where you can book a tour around the brewery and distillery (tasting included!) followed by a browse around the amply stocked store.
From the harbour, thrill seekers can book a trip out to sea on The Coastal Voyager. The foot ferry also operates from here, and gently rows you across to charming Walberswick.
Make the most of your time and relax in one of our beautiful holiday cottages in Southwold.
