We stayed here for a few days in between Christmas and New Year. The property was exactly as described and it was in a very peaceful location, which was just what we wanted. The Hosts left us a lovely breakfast with homemade jam and granola. There were clear instructions on how to get in and how to use things within the property. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind, whilst being within travelling distance of lots of great places to visit (bearing in mind it was December!). Will definitely be back. Jonathan, (Stayed January 2024)
We had a wonderful weekend here with family and friends. It’s a lovely big comfortable house. Ross, (Stayed November 2023)
An absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to stay, and a really thoughtful host, fresh milk, orange juice, a freshly baked loaf, homemade jam and some muesli all left for our arrival, you can see why they are marked as a “super host” We will be booking again next year, without a doubt. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ Chris, (Stayed October 2023)
Great place to hide for a quiet weekend away. The property was spotless and welcoming. Will definitely stay again. Extended this visit and CottageTree helped sort out the details without hesitation… Seb, (Stayed October 2023)
Fantastic one bedroom cottage in a lovely location. Ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. Spotlessly clean and a real home from home. This is a dog friendly cottage, and as we don't have a dog I did wonder if there would be any dog hairs. This being one of the reasons we wouldn't normally book a dog friendly place. Please be assured there was no trace or smell of dogs. We wouldn't hesitate to book again ☺️. Highly recommended Diane, (Stayed September 2023)
This is the second time we have stayed but this time with our one year old daughter and it has been even better! Such a nice relaxing break by the sea. Nikki has once again been very helpful and left the jam and granola we loved the first time so much. Thank you, we will be back :) Monica, (Stayed September 2023)
loved our stay handy for the many lovely beaches in the area and a peace countryside location it was perfect for us and the dogs and we were so lucky with the weather we highly recommend a stay here, a lovely retreat and lovely hosts thank you Rosie & Mark, (Stayed August 2023)
The coop is a lovely little place to stay with easy access to Southwold & surrounding areas. The accommodation was as described with everything we needed & nice & clean & a comfortable bed. Lovely extra touch’s of fresh bread, jam, butter, milk & orange juice. It was nice to have a small private garden & there are some quiet countryside walks on the doorstep. Nikki the owner lives in the main house & this is her converted garage which has been done really well & is hard to think it was once a garage! Nikki popped in on our arrival to say hello & check if we needed anything. Thanks Nikki for a great stay! Robert, (Stayed August 2023)
absolutely gorgeous house with everything and more that we could have hoped for including freshly, home baked bread, home made jam and home made granola. Lu, (Stayed July 2023)
Me and my girlfriend stayed for 4 nights, we had no issues finding the coop, some great beaches and towns to visit near by. All in all a great little place to stay! Adam, (Stayed July 2023)
We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the Garden Coop. Quiet and peaceful location, and a well equipped and spotlessly clean accommodation. the home made Granola, bread and jam were a very pleasant welcome. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone, and will be looking to return in the future. Thank you Ian, (Stayed July 2023)

Absolutely loved our stay here. We decided to stay at short notice and couldnt have found a better spot. The place was spotless, beautiful and easy to find. Would definitely recommend and will most certainly be booking again in the future. Tobias , (Stayed January 2023)
We loved our short stay at the Garden Coop. Very cosy and warm during the winters weather. Great countryside location with doorstep walks for us and our pooch but also close to the Suffolk coast for some sea air too! Would definitely recommend. Fiona, (Stayed December 2022)
Great location super clean with a great little kitchen with all the appliances you need. John, (Stayed November 2022)

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this attractive cosy property. The local cycling is great and we enjoyed visiting the coast and local towns. Robert, (Stayed September 2022)
The Garden Coop is an absolute gem. We had a lovely stay. We really enjoyed sitting and reading our books outside with amazing trees all about as the sun set. It is a very tranquil setting. Everything within was perfect too. The bedroom is wonderful. Really looking forward to a longer stay again. Thank you Nikki. Toby, (Stayed September 2022)
The Garden Coop is stunning, everything thought of to make our stay just perfect. The owner, Nikki, had left a breakfast tray of homemade bread, jam and granola plus milk and OJ the fridge. The property is of a very high standard with a mix of interiors which makes it really special. Nikki certainly has an artistic flair! Nicola, (Stayed August 2022)
Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Hosts right next door to sort out any problems but did not need to trouble them during our visit. Chris, (Stayed August 2022)
Fantastic cottage, very peaceful location Glen, (Stayed August 2022)
This is such a wonderful cottage in a great location. Everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable and is of high quality. We had our dog Roo with us so the enclosed garden, stair gate and handy country walks on your door step was just ideal. Penny, (Stayed August 2022)
A beautiful, cosy place to stay. Although small, it is really well designed. It had everything we needed. There were lovely touches such as some homemade breakfast bits and beautiful fresh flowers. We had wonderful weather so made the most of the veranda and the fire pit but I imagine it would be wonderful at any time of year. We didn’t communicate with the hosts as everything we needed to know was in the manual. There were great suggestions for walks with dogs too. A great base to explore Suffolk from, especially with a dog! Emma, (Stayed July 2022)
Beautiful little cottage, furnished very well, great bed & pillows, secure dog friendly garden, everything you may need is there, including fresh flowers! We visited twice now and I am sure we will be back for a third time. Anne-Marie, (Stayed July 2022)
Everything about the Coop is perfect. The layout, the location, the furniture and fittings. We loved it. There are some lovely walks straight from the doorstep and we enjoyed the nearby beaches and pubs. The garden is enclosed which is great for a dog. Note that dogs are not allowed upstairs though. We have found plenty of Airbnb’s which don’t have proper sofas but the Coop has a very comfortable sofa and armchair in a cosy little sitting area. The kitchen is very well kitted out, there was nothing that we needed! Thanks Natasha & Patrick, (Stayed July 2022)
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away from it all for a few days. The Coop itself was perfect and had everything we needed and the location meant we had lots of lovely long walks with the dogs. Would definitely recommend! Sean's parents!, (Stayed May 2022)
Even better than you could’ve thought. Incredibly thoughtful place! We loved it Cindy and Mabel Cindy, (Stayed April 2022)
Just absolutely perfect. I booked very last minute, but the cottage was warm, welcoming and beautifully set up for my stay. It’s super cute, clean, and has so many delightful little touches. The kitchen has pretty much everything you could hope for, the bed is comfy, the setting is idyllic - and honestly, I can’t think of any niggles at all. Thank you again Laura, (Stayed March 2022)
Our stay at The Garden Coop (managed by CottageTree) was perfect. It’s beautifully designed and spotless. Hannah, (Stayed February 2022)
Gorgeous cottage, spotless, beautiful decorated and incredibly comfortable. Everything has been so well thought out - there is everything you need! Highly recommend - would go back in a shot! Natalia, (Stayed January 2022)
Small but perfectly designed the Garden Coop was an ideal Christmas hideaway!! We had a lovely time going for walks, cooking and chilling by the fire. The Christmas decorations made it feel very special. The cottage is very well equipped and built to a very high standard. It also feels bigger than it looks in the photos. Nikki and her husband were on hand if we had any questions but the cottage is otherwise very private. Lovely walks from the door or a 15 min drive to stunning beaches. Highly recommend as place to get away from the daily grind and relax in the beautiful countryside. Craig, (Stayed December 2021)
Beautiful home, warm and very inviting. Close to Southwold, but we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Hosts were wonderful with communicating, and lovely little surprises left for my partners birthday. Perfect weekend away, we'll be back for sure! Keely, (Stayed December 2021)
The Garden Coop is a lovely place to stay. The accommodation is lovely - we particularly liked the modern feel mixed with vintage. The kitchen is really well equipped if you're cooking and the breakfast goodies left by Nikki are a really lovely touch - bread and granola very tasty. Very comfortable bed, too. The location is peaceful and is in a great position for some beautiful beaches (great for dogs ) - Kessingland beach, Covehithe and Dunwich all really wild and beautiful. We stayed in winter and it was lovely to visit Southwold without all the tourists. Nikki and Mike live next door and are very friendly, but leave you alone and Nikki answered any queries we had very quickly via text. A great find. Jo, (Stayed November 2021)
Lovely, comfortable accommodation, very clean, well-equipped and thoughtfully designed. Host is very helpful and responsive, a quiet, peaceful setting. Would highly recommend. David & Jo, (Stayed October 2021)

Fab place to stay, highly recommended! Chris, (Stayed September 2021)
The Garden Coop is an amazing place to stay and is designed and decorated immaculately by Nikki & Mike and we were very lucky to be able to spend a few days here. The location gets you away from the hustle & bustle, with some nice country walks on the doorstep plus its only 15 mins drive from the lovely Southwold where we spent our days out on the beach or strolling around the town. There are recommendations on eating out provided, and really enjoyed an amazing lunch out at The Anchor in Walberswick. The house has everything you need and most definitely recommend the Garden Coop as a base for exploring this part of The Suffolk coast Paul, (Stayed September 2021)
The Garden Coop is a real find and fully recommend staying here. The beautiful house is finished to the highest possible standards and is a real home away from home. Nikki and Mike are great hosts with superb communication and some sensation little touches. The location is great for exploring the Suffolk Coast and we will definitely return. Andy, (Stayed August 2021)
We had a fabulous stay at the garden coop. The accommodation is beautiful and has everything you could ever need - and more! We particularly loved sitting on the veranda and taking in the peace and quiet of the local surroundings. We spent our time walking and exploring the nearby coast. For us, a return to the coop is a must and would highly recommend this gem of a coop to all! Rosemary, (Stayed August 2021)

Absolutely lovely location, peaceful and beautiful. The cottage is really well equipped, the decor is fab, and it is super clean. The enclosed courtyard is nice but a little bit of a shame that there are no views from there given the stunning views from the upstairs of the cottage. Lydia, (Stayed April 2021)
Very pretty top notch, well equipped residence everything excellent quality lovely location lots of great local walks and close proximity to Southwold and Aldeburgh, will go again in better times.” Susan, (Stayed December 2020)

Just returned home from two nights at the Garden Coop, and we wish our stay had been longer! The property is a lovely little place, extremely clean, and the outdoor space was perfect as we had our dog with us. The little touches from Nikki were a nice surprise - home made granola, jam and bread...yum! Milk and orange juice also provided, as well as coffee, tea etc. which we hadn’t expected. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for a peaceful break away, we would definitely consider returning Sarah, (Stayed September 2020)
“A wonderful countryside hideaway in a beautiful location. Lovely walks on the doorstep and perfectly located to reach many of the idillic villages and beaches. The property is perfectly sized for two (and a dog!), and is both cozy and stylish. We loved relaxing there in the evening after a day of adventuring. Relaxing on the porch with a glass of wine and a book in the evening was pure bliss, listening to only the sounds of nature. The hosts have clearly spent a lot thought on the property with many great little touches. A wonderful stay. Thank you.” Helen, (Stayed September 2020)

I’ve already recommended to others and would return in a heartbeat.” Richard, (Stayed August 2020)

“We've stayed in lots of Airbnb places and this is our favourite! A lovely spot - rural but not too far to get to nice places to visit. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the kitchen had all we could need and the log burner was lovely. We loved the little garden too and the sofa (both the one inside and outside) is comfy. The little extra touches were nice and everything I forgot when packing in a rush was found in the cottage anyway! I cannot fault this place and will be returning for sure! Thank you.” Nicola, (Stayed March 2019)

This is definitely the best place we have stayed at in Suffolk. Both the interior and exterior were fantastic. Loved the totally enclosed garden for the dogs and enjoyed sitting out under the verandah. The bed was comfortable and the linen lovely. Downstairs was well furnished and spacious. Easy enough to get to places like Beccles and Southwold. Caroline, (Stayed October 2018)

“The Garden Coop is a beautiful little cottage with amazingly beautiful countryside on it’s doorstep. The cottage is sparkling clean and has everything you need for your stay. We arrived quite late in the evening and the warmth that welcomed us when we opened the door was just lovely, as was the bottle of wine and the card left by our hosts. The bedroom is perfectly formed and the bed is super comfy. The whole place is very chic and is probably one of the best AirBnB stays we’ve had. One of my favourite memories is sitting out on the porch, feeling the warmth from the fire pit, watching the stars and sipping G&T. Perfection. We can’t wait to plan our next visit...” Maria, (Stayed October 2018)
“Wow what a find. If you are looking for a rural place in tranquil surroundings and wildlife around you this is the place for you. Plenty of amenities and great places to visit only a short drive away. The Garden Coop is decorated to a high standard and feels welcoming and is spotlessly clean with lots of little attention to details. There was a log burner although we did not use it as the Coop was lovely and toasty (we need to go back mid-winter so we can put it on!). Of a morning and evening we sat on the porch and took in all the wildlife sounds around us. Pots of herbs on the decking to use which is a great touch. We took our dog Percy with us and with a private safe garden area we could let him out without worrying. The walks around the Garden Coop are great with or without a dog any time of the year. For those taking their dog with them we took the hosts advice from their information booklet and went to The Bell Inn at Walberswick (sat nav IP18 6TN) where we had an excellent lunch and felt no awkwardness taking our dog in with us - plenty of dog water bowls. The Bell Inn has a great atmosphere. Another good dog walk is in nearby Beccles Common (100 acres) where there is a great friendly tearoom called Paw for Tea Tearoom, catering for families and dog walkers (sat nav NR34 9BY). We will definitely make a return visit to the Garden Coop.” Karen, (Stayed October 2018)
“Wonderfully designed, spotlessly clean, great breakfast and very dog friendly with completely enclosed small garden, we absolutely loved our stay and wished we’d booked for longer! Very accurate local information and some fine recommendations - local pubs, restaurants and walks etc. Southwold only 20 mins drive away and many other lovely Suffolk villages to visit. The Garden Coop really made our stay s special one though, we’ll be back! Will, Fiona and dogs Ebb & Olive!” Will and Fiona, (Stayed October 2018)
Lovely location, quiet and peaceful. Cottage was superbly presented, clean and cosy. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the area - stay at the chicken coop! Many thanks! John, Liv and Albi, (Stayed October 2018)
Just had a lovely weekend in this beautiful property. It's fitted out to a high standard and there are some lovely touches such as usb plug points and a Bluetooth speaker. Super comfortable bed which led to a couple of great night's sleep in such a quiet location. Can't wait to return for a longer stay! Sara, (Stayed September 2018)

What a lovely place! So pretty and well designed and with such lovely touches such as fresh bread and jam on arrival. We spent an enjoyable and restful time exploring the Suffolk coast and the Coop was the most relaxing and peaceful place to come back to each evening. Thank you so much for everything- we would love to come back Cathryn, (Stayed July 2018)
“Secluded and beautiful the Garden Coop was a perfect sanctuary while we had a fantastic time at the Latitude festival. Thank you for the lovely fresh bread and homemade jam and all the personal touches that made our stay even more perfect” Samantha, (Stayed July 2018)
The Coop is quiet and relaxing. It is well laid out with thoughtful touches such as home made granola and jam with local bread provided. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine listening to the birds Carol, (Stayed June 2018)
“Our 2nd trip back to this beautiful little cottage a perfect place for a peaceful away from it all & yet still close enough to the coast & lots of lovely walks. Have stayed in a few Airbnb but this is the best so far & would highly recommend.” Ann & Vince, (Stayed June 2018)
“Very clean, tidy and beautifully presented. Great quality interior and exterior throughout. Absolutely loved the place and all the beautiful walks nearby! Felt totally cosy, relaxed and at home and had a great night's rest in the incredibly peaceful location. Absolute bliss.” Elisma, (Stayed May 2018)
“We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Garden Coop. It was spotless and stylishly decorated. The extra touches were lovely, homemade granola and jam. It was incredibly peaceful with just the sound of bird song most of the time. We enjoyed lovely days out but were always glad to go back to the Coop so gone from home really.” Jane, (Stayed May 2018)
We had a lovely stay at the Garden Coop. Very quiet and in the middle of the countryside, it was a fantastic place to spend a couple of nights and get away from the noise and hecticness of London. Good access to the coast and other local points of interest, but also a lovely place to just hang out. Very stylish yet comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We would stay again! Ruth, (Stayed April 2018)
Really want to keep this place a secret, as it was too good to share! Will be back, soon. Great place, location and hosts...Thank you. Steven, (Stayed February 2018)
The Garden Coop is an ideal getaway for two - it has everything you need and feels like a home from home. It's in a lovely rural location but also very close to the coast so you get the best of both worlds! The Garden Coop even has its own private decking/garden area which we weren't able to enjoy due to the weather, but would be lovely in the summertime. On arrival the table was laid out with a loaf of bread, jam, homemade granola and there was milk in the fridge too - these lovely little touches made our stay feel extra special! Communication with the hosts prior to our arrival was also excellent - they responded promptly and were very helpful in providing information about local restaurants etc. Would definitely recommend! Alice, (Stayed February 2018)
Me my partner and our lab stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful accomodation. We arrived late on Friday night to find the Coop lit up and waiting for us. There were a few surprises waiting on the table and some very nice touches inside. The bed is very comfortable and the Coop is lovely. We ventured out in the day and had dinner just down the road at the Fox Inn which again was very nice. A great escape and some much needed relaxation. Anyone looking at this location then look no further... Thankyou for a wonderful stay” Kelly, (Stayed January 2018)
Lovely cosy cottage. Right on the National Cycle route 31 so great for cycling straight from the front door. Very comfy big bed. A nice touch was the local bread and jam that had been left for us Tom, (Stayed November 2017)
We had a lovely couple of days here with our dog. The hosts were very quick to respond and gave very clear instructions for arrival. The house has been beautifully decorated and a perfect little space to cozy up in front of the fire. The outdoor space is fully secure so we could let the dog out without worrying. It was too cold this weekend but it looks like a lovely little space to sit out with a BBQ in the summer! We were surrounded by fields and countryside which was perfect. We went off to the coast instead of local town but there seemed to be plenty to do in the area. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice little break in the countryside Laura, (Stayed November 2017)
We had a fantastic few days (not long enough) at the Garden Coop. Loved the location and it was very clean and comfortable with all that you could have hoped for in terms of facilities. Big well done to those who designed and furnished this place as it was just so right for us ... and I’m sure many others Chris , (Stayed October 2017)
We had a fantastic stay at the garden coop, one of our best experiences. The accommodation was fantastic, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and full of stylish and personal touches. We would not hesitate to visit again. Ed, (Stayed October 2017)
This was an amazing find in a stunning location. Gardeners Coop has been really thoughtfully designed. Not only beautiful interior, spotlessly clean with all the modern amenities and comms facilities, but it's the little touches of the welcome treats and freshly cut flowers left out that just set places like this apart. A great deal of consideration has been put into this little hideaway to make it a truly special home away from home Kate, (Stayed October 2017)
We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Coop, it's ideally located for a quiet and peaceful getaway, with still much to see and visit a short drive away. It's beautifully kept and the attention to detail, such as the breakfast tray, is really lovely. Camille, (Stayed October 2017)
What a little gem. The Garden Coop is the perfect place to get away from it all! It’s in a great location to enjoy all that Suffolk has to offer. The house is absolutely beautiful & is equipped with everything you would need. It’s in a very quiet location & has lots of nice walks however you would need a car to visit popular spots such as Southwold, Beccles & Dunwich to name but a few! I Would definitely be recommending to friends & family & hopefully stay again! Ann, (Stayed October 2017)
The Coop is set away from all the hustle and bustle, so if peace and quiet is your thing then this is the perfect get away. The hosts went our of their way to make us feel welcome and the stash of goodies that greeted us on our arrival was both thoughtful and kind (any very yummy!) The Coop itself is stylish (these guys have great taste), warm and comfortable. Everything was of a very high standard and made our stay one of the best and most memorable Nina & Val, (Stayed September 2017)
Fantastic stay, lovely little touches such as a welcome pack on arrival and some bits for breakfast. The decor was lovely and the kitchen well equipped for cooking. Very comfy bed and great shower. Wouldn't hesistate to come back. The location was great aswell - there are walks you can do from the accommodation or it's a short drive to the coast and other areas of interest Karina, (Stayed September 2017)
“Loved staying at the garden coop. It looks even more impressive in real life than from the photos. The hosts have everything covered, with a well equipped kitchen and even left a few treats for us on arrival. The bed is extremely comfy! Do not hesitate to book this most gorgeous little Garden Coop. We had a wonderful relaxing break in this secluded property. All fixtures & fittings were of the highest quality and it all felt very luxurious. The area has many scenic walks & the welcome pack of homemade goodies was much appreciated (as was the extra of truffle chocolates for my partner's birthday) Graham, (Stayed August 2017)
Beautifully designed and very well equipped; a perfect rural location for a quiet and peaceful break. Good location for cycling, walking and near to the sea. Hosts were charming, welcoming and unobtrusive. The Coop is highly recommended. Peter, (Stayed July 2017)
“The most stunning, modern little cottage we've ever had the privilege of staying in. Fantastic little touches from home made jams to stunning modern appliances like the Bi-fold doors and modern shower unit. Had to give the log burner a test as well for some toasted marshmallows despite being the middle of a heat wave! Will be returning guests; for sure! ” Matt Davis, (Stayed June 2017)
Lovely coop with attention to detail. We stay in lots of cottages and as always the little things that make you feel someone really wants you to enjoy your stay. Lovely decoration, great idea with the maps and pictures and with gentle reminders. Good luck with the coop. Best Wishes Norman & Sharon, (Stayed June 2017)
The Garden Coop has been beautifully designed - feels very cosy and was just what we needed after spending our days at the nearby beaches. Thank you so much for the tray of food. The bread was quickly demolished! If ever we are in the area again we will make sure to return to The Garden Coop! Tom and Megan, (Stayed June 2017)
“Fabulous, cosy, by far the best Air BnB I have stayed in! Wood burner and welcome hamper were great added touches. Hosts were great. Thank you! ” Joanne, (Stayed May 2017)

The Garden Coop was exactly what we were looking for. A lovely cosy retreat situated in a beautiful location and ideal for exploring Suffolk. We would very much stay here again. The cottage had everything we needed and we especially loved the added touch of the gift bag. The interior has been done to a very high spec and the open plan layout was perfect for a crawling baby. Thank you for having us. Jon, (Stayed May 2017)
Where do we even start?! This cottage is not only stunning/cosy/modern but it is certainly is situated in one of the loveliest villages!! It has absolutely everything we needed all whilst being walking distance from some of the prettiest walks we've ever been on! Thank you for all your hospitality and thoughtfulness! Carmela & Henry, (Stayed April 2017)
Loved every second of our stay. The place is stunning and cosy and everything is extremely high spec with a fantastic enclosed garden which was perfect for our dachshunds. Loved the log burner and really enjoyed the granola and homemade jam for breakfast... was the little things of kindness that stood out. Thank you so so much for making our first trip to Suffolk an amazing experience. Lisa, Jason & the Pups xx Lisa and Jason, (Stayed April 2017)
What a wonderful stay in this gorgeous little home. It's cosy, stylish and has great attention to detail. We had a lovely evening sitting out on the porch looking at the moon, enjoyed the recommendations pinned to a map on the wall, slept well on the soft comfy bed, woke up the sound of bird song and almost wanted it to be colder so we could light the little stove. We highly recommend this little treasure and hope to return soon. Alexis & Serena, (Stayed April 2017)
“This is an exceptionally beautiful property, that is boutique standard from the moment you step foot on the underfloor heating. The thought that Nikki and Mike have taken to provide everything needed for a relaxing and special stay is worthy of a mention too (nice touch the breakfast hamper, with locally sourced artisan bread). Location is great to explore Southwold and the surrounding areas. We will be returning.” Tony, (Stayed March 2017)
