Lovely hut in a lovely spot. Perfect for a weekend away. The hut was exactly as described and there were a few extra nice touches the hosts provided. Use of a pair of bicycles was great and we enjoyed exploring the area. We would greatly recommend this place and we hope to return at some point in the future. Andrew, (Stayed August 2024)
We had a fabulous stay at the Scrumpy Shepherd The countryside leading to the stay brings a feeling of tranquility over you because it is so beautiful. There is a well sign posted, and easy to find spot to park. We followed the path through the meadow, which was like something from a fairy tale, to the orchard where we were to stay. We were delighted with the setting and Shepherds hut itself. There are so many features and little touches to make our stay as perfect as possible. From the flowers on the table and blankets around the fire to the giant marshmallows. Wood is supplied for the fire and a well stocked kitchen All the local pubs are fantastic. We’ve stayed at many little get aways but this has been our favourite. Thank you for sharing this little slice of paradise Antony, (Stayed August 2023)
Beautiful location, unbelievably quiet, beautiful scenery. Followed the instructions to the hut which are spot on, definitely a wow from us when we went inside. Log burner available if it’s chilly at night. Decor is Pristine, with lovely little touches here and there. Couldn’t fault anything lovey and clean, nice comfy bed and bedding, with little extras on arrival to enjoy on the fire pit outside. Marc, (Stayed July 2023)
we had an amazing stay. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful and private. the phots do not do it justice and we will be coming back again. Kelly, (Stayed May 2023)
Our second visit and equally as enjoyable as our first. A beautifully designed and located getaway surrounded by nature and peace. Great facilities, lovely touches, and a chance to recharge and spend quality time with together. We will be back again. Thank you Danny, (Stayed April 2023)
We have just spent the most relaxing 2 nights at the scrumpy shepherd. The service from Sue and Andrea was faultless and Daniel was the perfect host. The scrumpy shepherd is in the most serene setting, making it a truly wonderful place to stay. The small touches are fantastic and the walk to the pubs is well worth it. If you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of life then this is the hut for you Marie, (Stayed September 2022)
Romantic getaway for a few days in beautiful countryside surroundings. Has everything you need within the small space & we were left a few treats by the host. Has 2 pubs close by within walking distance serving great food. Perfect getaway retreat place away from town/city life. Has no tv or wifi. Daniel who lives opposite the road is on hand if ever there are any issues. We had a good stay. Rod, (Stayed August 2022)
My husband and I stayed in The Scrumpy Shepherd last weekend. Oh my goodness, what a treat! From the moment you click the gate open to walk across the field, you know there is a little slice of something special awaiting….. There are flowers thoughtfully placed in a vase on the table outside, and the hut itself is decked out in a rustic/ scandi feel with all the comforts you need. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom small but again, beautifully furnished in open copper piping and lush towels. Book up this little gem now ! :) xx Tanya, (Stayed July 2022)
This is a beautiful setting and wonderfully maintained garden and shepherds hut, with all the comforts you will need. Spotlessly clean, a fantastic host and such a cosy place to stay. Cara, (Stayed March 2022)
Absolutely loved our stay. We had such glorious weather and with the comforts of the scrumpy shepherd it really was a much needed break away. Thank you :) Louise, (Stayed November 2021)
an amazing location, the shepherd was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack on arrival was very nice. can't wait to go back! Ben, (Stayed October 2021)
The Scrumpy Shepherd is a delightful place for a romantic getaway! Secluded but still within easy reach of pubs, shops and several tourist attractions. The hut itself is surprisingly roomy and kitted out to a very high standard. It is very well insulated and, despite the awful weather on one of the days we were there, we were toasty and warm! Arrival was hassle free and they had provided us with milk, butter, fresh eggs from their farm and a couple of extra treats! We would highly recommend The Scrumpy Shepherd and can’t wait to go back. Angela, (Stayed October 2021)
What an absolute gem, so quiet and beautiful. You have everything you need and more, set in the beautiful countryside, with a garden and fire pit. The shepherd hut is absolutely gorgeous and so clean, walking distance from 2 pubs, with a lovely walk and an easy to follow map. Defo I recommend a stay here. Erin, (Stayed September 2021)
Thank you. I had a most enjoyable and restful few days in the tranquil surrounds of the Scrumpy Shepherd. The hut itself was surprisingly comfortable and well appointed. I’d certainly return, hopefully next Summer. Richard, (Stayed September 2021)
We had the best time staying at The Scrumpy Shepherd. The hut was so clean and comfortable and perfectly located within easy reach of all the places we wanted to visit. Daniel was always super quick to respond to any questions we had and made our stay perfect. Thankyou again for such a lovely time! Brittany, (Stayed September 2021)
A tranquil little patch of private space to relax and explore the local area from. perfect for switching off from busy city living. Would highly recommend. Jack, (Stayed August 2021)
An excellent choice for peace and quiet. Highly recommended Simon, (Stayed August 2021)
The Scrumpy Shepherd was a lovely place to stay for our weekend away. It’s beautifully situated in its own orchard and had everything we needed as well as some extra nice touches, including milk and breakfast left inside. Wish we’d had better weather as we’d have loved to spend more time outside in the lovely surroundings! Molly, (Stayed June 2021)
It was absolutely wonderful!!! Perfect in fact! And thank you for the prompt deposit return  Jane, (Stayed June 2021)
We had a long weekend of complete and utter bliss at The Scrumpy Shepherd. The hut itself is immaculate and has absolutely every thing you need for a getaway - it felt luxurious and like other travellers - we loved the bed and shower! It is beautifully furnished with attention to detail. There were lovely little touches in the hut and orchard with blankets, cushions and fresh flowers. We were also so lucky with the weather and followed the sun from morning till evening in the orchard, and then enjoyed a BBQ and the firepit in the evening (generous amount of firewood provided). There are gorgeous views from every room in the hut and we spotted deer and rabbits from the bed ... There are also many walking paths from the hut and we explored quite a few of these - an OS map is provided so that helped a lot finding our way around the countryside. We can recommend The Queen at Brandeston for drinks or something to eat (lovely Sunday roast). Aldeburgh was just a 30 minute drive away but it was really difficult to leave the orchard and hut - it is so peaceful and private and just what we needed for a digital detox. Both birdhouses had little ones and we were entertained by birdsong throughout the day. A big thank you to the owners for sharing this space with others, we cannot recommend it highly enough and hope to be back! Hanlie & Jo, (Stayed June 2021)
Perfect for a quick quiet getaway, with only us around. Kamil, (Stayed May 2021)
Helen & I would just like to thank you for making our short break in the Suffolk countryside so perfect & memorable. We both loved the shepherd's hut & its location. We were so lucky with the weather, so were able to sit outside in the garden each day for breakfast, listening to the birdsong (the song thrush was very vocal) & again in the evening watching the bats/stars, which was fabulous, even though we had to wrap up using the blankets provided as it very cold (in May!!). Keith & Helen, (Stayed May 2021)
Scrumpy Shepherd hut met all our expectations - we had a lovely time even though the weather wasn’t too kind to us! We had good meals at both the local pubs which are both accessible on footpaths directly from the orchard. We would definitely recommend this place. Jason & Kay, (Stayed May 2021)
The Scrumpy Shepherd is exquisite, a little piece of heaven. The most beautiful, romantic setting in the orchard with flowers, views and birdsong. The Shepherds hut is finished to the highest standard, oozes quality with attention to detail and everything you could possibly need and I mean everything! Kelly & Dave, (Stayed May 2021)
“A beautifully presented place set in a secluded area. Perfect for relaxing. The welcome hamper and the lovely blankets and chairs around the fire pit make it that bit more special. The hosts are very quick to respond and always polite and helpful. We came in summer but we would love to go back in winter and enjoy the indoor stove!” Emilie, (Stayed August 2020)
The Scrumpy Shepherd is an excellent shepherd's hut set in a lovely little meadow right back from the road and in a wonderfully pleasant location. It's a beautifully finished hut, a little different to others (in a good way!) with the copper piping and it certainly one of the better huts we've stayed in (and we've tried a lot!). The shower is superb - and there's everything required for a pleasant stay. The fire pit is a must - as is dinner at The Queen in Brandeston which was excellent. We'd gladly return Simon, (Stayed February 2020)
“Another lovely stay in the Shepherd’s hut. It’s such a cosy place with everything you’d need to have a relaxing getaway. I’m sure we’ll be back again” Jenny, (Stayed December 2019)
“Beautiful little hut. We loved the private orchard, the pretty lights, the lovely furnishings inside and the little welcome hamper. It was very cosy, completely autonomous and we had plenty of coffee, tea and wood. Highly recommend! Would love to come back.” Charlie, (Stayed November 2019)
The shepherd's hut is a unique getaway. It is small but is warm and cosy, intimate and thoroughly modern inside, while also making the most of the natural surroundings in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The villages nearby are wonderful to explore. Andrea and Sue were a pleasure to deal with; although they had to make an unexpected last minute change to our booking (which was outside of their control), they went out of their way to help and make things work for us as best they could. And knowing it was for a surprise birthday celebration, Sarah hung a lovely birthday banner for our arrival :) Christy, (Stayed November 2019)
What an incredible place! It was perfect in every way, from the personal touches in the welcome hamper to the stunning decor. The location was beautiful and it felt like a home away from home! Great pubs near by and the highlight was sitting under the fairy lights toasting marshmallows on the fire pit! I would highly recommend, we would love to come back again xx Ellie, (Stayed September 2019)
We were absolutely delighted to have stayed in your beautiful Shepherd Hut, everything was perfect. We especially enjoyed the beautiful setting and privacy and felt totally rested after our weekend. Thank you very much for the delicious cake and goodies, we made use of everything and toasted the marshmallows over the fire pit. And also for the late check out which was much appreciated. It was my first visit to Suffolk and we are looking forward to returning again soon. As are all our friends! Alison, (Stayed September 2019)
100% recommended this place to anyone. Relaxing and the area is great too. Narlayp, (Stayed September 2019)
Beautiful and luxurious hut in an idyllic location. Would highly recommend to anyone! Perfect place to relax and unwind, and everything we hoped for. We would definitely return again some day Rose, (Stayed September 2019)
The place is just amazing. Silent, beautiful and still everything you need in a short distance. All you need for a Holiday in the countryside Mette, (Stayed August 2019)
The most amazing place to get away for a few days. There were so many thoughtful little touches, there was a happy birthday banner, a homemade cake (wrapped with happy birthday ribbon), marshmallows for toasting on the fire, a map highlighting where is best to eat and drink and much more. The orchard that the hut is set in is so private, the fairy lights give it a welcoming and relaxing vibe. We fell in love with the whole place, it was cosy and peaceful. We will definitely be booking again so we can have a longer stay, and now our families have seen the photos they are also working out their dates to book! Grace, (Stayed August 2019)
“Such a beautiful place to stay! The hut is stylish and comfortable and the private orchard which it is located in is idyllic. There are lots of lovely little touches such as the delicious homemade cake, marshmallows for toasting on the fire pit, and the outdoor furniture and pretty lights. Would definitely recommend a stay here!” Marisha, (Stayed August 2019)
Private, chilled, relaxing, a very special place, exactly what we needed to unwind, my wife and I would love to go back again, well done to the owners. We wanted to stay another night, fire pit ,comfy bed, all things you needed to chill out and the sunflowers behind you is awesome thank you very much. Colin, (Stayed August 2019)

My wife and I spent two lovely nights at the scrumpy shepherd this week and absolutely fell in love with the place. Secluded and quiet, beautifully furnished and cosy, peaceful and idyllic, our only regret Is that we only booked two nights. Thank you for letting us stay! Martin, (Stayed July 2019)

If you want a remote quiet place to unwind, sit by a warm fire pit at night, toasting marshmallows with a loved one this is a place for you. Just bring the bottle of wine and you will make wonderful memories Michelle, (Stayed June 2019)
A very peaceful location, with plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The interior of the hut is very comfortable and well equipped. We loved staying in the Shepherds Hut. Very peaceful surroundings, comfortable bed and brilliant shower Karen, (Stayed June 2019)
I have just returned from a lovely stay at The Scrumpy Shepherd following a surprise birthday weekend for my boyfriend. It couldn’t have been better! It’s extremely clean, comfortable and cosy and the welcome hamper was a real bonus! It’s located in a gorgeous orchard, and isn’t overlooked at all. You really have your own space and can properly switch off. Waking up to birds tweeting and clean countryside air - nothing can beat that. We met the host briefly who was extremely welcoming, and always happy to help! You’d be silly not to stay here. I want to return already! Laura, (Stayed June 2019)
This is a truly special little hideaway! Set in a private meadow and surrounded by fields in the beautiful countryside, and a perfect location to explore Suffolk. The hut felt so much more spacious than we were expecting and it was beautifully decorated and kitted out with everything you might need, including a super comfy bed. We were so lucky with wonderful weather and enjoyed sitting outside under the festoon lights by the fire pit (with marshmallows from the lovely welcome goodies) We’ll be back!! Jess, (Stayed June 2019)
The Scrumpy Shepherd is perfect for a relaxing weekend. The weather was good to us and we had some lovely bbq's just listening to the sounds of the birds twittering away. The hut has everything you could want for. The bed and bedding is super comfy and warm, shower is hot and powerful. The extras like coffee and cake was greatly appreciated. We walked to the nearest pub, the Brandeston Crown - be warned they stop serving lunch at 2pm! (Although we twisted their arm and they rustled up some chips!!) All in all a highly recommended Airbnb Christine, (Stayed June 2019)
We had a fantastic time in a very special venue. We absolutely loved the accommodation. It felt very special and the orchard was beautiful and secluded. We managed to do a lot of walking around the area and have already talked about trying to return in the future. Stunning, would definitely recommend. Dave, (Stayed May 2019)
An absolutely magical stay. We didn’t want to leave. Toasty and cosy warm, complete privacy, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous interior, delicious fresh food and extra treats, excellent communication. What a truly unique and special stay. Thank you so much. Highly recommended. Lizzie, (Stayed April 2019)
Me.. again! Just as good as last time, if not better with the February heat wave allowing us to sit outside in the evening. Lovely place and really thoughtful touches. Thank you Guy, (Stayed February 2019)
Lovely secluded hut with everything you'd want/need and a few special touches. Great attention to detail - comfy bed, warm shower and wood burning stove. Perfect for a peaceful retreat from the city. When we stayed it was December and there were strong winds outside but barely noticed them in the hut with the fire on.... it made it more cosy in fact Guy, (Stayed December 2018)
My partner and I recently spent the weekend here and loved every minute staying in this cosy shepherds hut. Our experience far exceeded our expectations. The hosts have gone to great lengths to ensure that you have all the facilities you need and are only across the field or a call away if help is needed. The directions were clear, the little touches were very pleasing, the facilities are excellent and it is the perfect location for a getaway (especially couples). We will definitely be staying again in the future. Thanks for hosting us :) James and Jenny, (Stayed November 2018)
Lovely stay with personal touches such as the homemade sloe gin and cake and the owner Sarah was there to turn the wood burner on as we arrived. Lovely interior and kept well heated and plenty of hot water for 2 people - would definitely recommend to friends / family. Thankyou! Jessamy, (Stayed November 2018)
Really lovely place. Well thought out with extra blankets under the bed, maps of local pubs for food, a BBQ for cooking outside and induction cooker for inside. Very tastefully done and the perfect retreat from everyday life Craig, (Stayed October 2018)
Amazing weekend getaway. Highly recommend this place if you're in the need for some detoxing from busy life. the pictures don't do it justice as every review has mentioned. the place is beautiful, clean, great hosts. Thank you so much for making our stay beautiful Sanaria, (Stayed October 2018)
“My husband and I absolutely loved our weekend here. The fixtures and fittings are top quality, everything is spotlessly clean and everything you need has been thought of. Sarah and Daniel really have done a superb job in providing an idyllic retreat for two. The orchard is so peaceful and completely private. We arrived in the dark but could see the festoon lights across the field. We opened the door to the hut and immediately felt cosy with the log burner giving off a gentle heat and a gorgeous smell. We catered for ourselves as we simply did not want to leave the perfection of The Scrumpy Shepherd. We would definitely like to book again Deborah, (Stayed October 2018)
This is the second time my boyfriend and I (now fiance- he proposed to me at the Scrumpy Shepherd this weekend - yes, it's that romantic!) have been to the Scrumpy Shepherd. Not only is it the perfect tranquil get away from hectic city life (nothing to hear and see but the birds chirping, beautiful unpolluted night skies and fields on all sides - perfect for watching the sun set) but it has loads of walks on the doorstep, great restaurants in the nearest town and a lovely pub just a walk across a field (bring a torch!). The hut itself is stylish and modern with lots of attention to detail. The bed is fantastically comfortable, the shower is hot and powerful and the wood burner is perfect for chilly nights. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need and they even leave a wonderful welcome hamper with hand made cakes, fresh coffee, sloe gin or mulled wine (and, of course, marshmallows for the fire). The orchid that the hut sits in is iddylic and completely secluded: fairy lights strung up, blankets, table and chairs, a bbq and a fire pit. Fuel for the fire is plentiful. And it's spotlessly clean. I honestly couldn't recommend the Scrumpy Shepherd highly enough and we intend to use it as a regular weekend retreat when we need a break from the hustle and bustle of life! Nikki, (Stayed September 2018)
Just back from staying here, absolutely Gorgeous, super cosy little shepherd hut in such a tranquil location , beautifully finished with lovely touches from the owners Daniel and Sarah. I love the fact there isn’t a tv as my husband is a tv addict so it’s so nice to have complete peace and quiet. Couldn’t fault it whatsoever and would love to return soon, hopefully in better weather so we can make use of the barbecue or fire pit Natasha and Craig, (Stayed September 2018)
Brilliant place to stay! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We didn’t come far (Ipswich) but we felt a million miles from home. We look forward to coming back again! Thanks Laurence, (Stayed September 2018)
Amazing accommodation in such peaceful surroundings! Everything you need to relax and unwind. A perfect retreat for our first wedding anniversary. Thank you and will book again...perfect! Sam, (Stayed August 2018)
A romantic and idyllic little shepherds hut in its own private garden. Fire pit, BBQ, chairs, blankets and cushions make for a wonderfully comfortable evening watching the sun go down over the neighbouring sunflower field. The sound of owls hunting at dusk and watching them swoop around the sky was special. Inside, the hut had everything you need to make small meals ( fridge, microwave, hob, cutlery and crockery). Superb shower and toilet area and a nice, comfy double bed... what more could you ask for? Ian , (Stayed August 2018)
We had a wonderful stay at the Scrumpy Shepherd. It’s located within a beautifully peaceful orchard with fields to each side, including a field of sunflowers. We saw lots of birds enjoying the orchard as well, including a woodpecker! The hut itself is extremely comfortable and cleverly designed to give maximum space. It had a powerful shower and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Sarah also went out of her way to help us with our questions - recommending a great local walk as well as a lovely seaside town. I can’t recommend this place enough - we didn’t have the best weather but the hut was in the perfect location to explore the Suffolk countryside as well as being a comfortable place to hide in from the rain! Alice, (Stayed August 2018)
Highly recommend this wonderful shepherds hut! Thank you so much for making our first two nights as a married couple so special. You went above and beyond and it was the perfect place! “The Scrumpy Shepherd Hut is just what we were looking for- perfect country getaway. The hut was clean and more spacious than you would expect. “The photos don’t really do the shepherds hut justice, it’s a romantic little haven, tucked in the most peaceful spot. It has everything you need and the space is stylishly designed with lots of lovely touches. There’s a couple of nice pubs close by for the evening - if you can drag yourself away from the fire pit and cosy hut. An amazing bolt hole for a few relaxing day - can’t recommend enough! Thank you for a fab stay!” Stephanie, (Stayed May 2018)

Scrumpy Shepherd was just wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hosts Sarah & Daniel were fantastic with lots of advice on local advice on where to visit. The Shepherds hut was in a wonderful secluded apple orchard and the only sound was the birds singing. Cant wait to visit again Lavinia, (Stayed April 2018)
A cosy and quiet hideout which we would recommend to everybody. The hosts were brilliant and made us feel welcome and looked after without being intrusive. The place is well kitted out with all the essentials that you would possibly need and was comfy, warm and homely. It’s really well located too, reasonable driving distances to many National Trust sites, such as; Sutton Hoo and Dunwich Heath. We would definitely consider visiting again! Paja, (Stayed April 2018)
The Scrumpy Shepherd is a truly unique place. Set in the middle of the tranquil Suffolk countryside, it is a peaceful getaway with all the basic amenities (warm shower, full functional indoor toilet, sink, fridge, toaster, microwave, double bed, table, stools..) as well as some much appreciated additional touches such as the walnut loaf, fresh eggs and sloe gin! The interior was clean and very well furnished and to be honest much warmer and cosier than I imagined! The owner and Cottage Tree staff were incredibly helpful and prompt at responding to any query we had. Overall, it was an excellent experience and highly recommend this place!” Jason, (Stayed April 2018)
We absolutely loved the Scrumpy Shepherd and will definitely go back. It is even more beautiful than the photos suggest and the owners helpfully had the wood burner on for when we arrived. The personal touches like the welcome hamper, birthday cake and fresh flowers really make you feel welcome and the attention to detail with the decor is amazing. Couldn’t recommend enough. Perfectly placed for exploring the Suffolk coast Rachael and Fahad, (Stayed March 2018)
Scrumpy is a wonderful place - incredibly well designed and furnished and more than enough space for 2 of you. It's super private and I imagine would be fantastic in the summer too. We could have happily stayed for a week - thanks for hosting us! Faustine And Adam, (Stayed March 2018)
What a fantastic weekend! Tucked away in a parcel of land amongst farmers fields is the Scrumpy shepherd’s hut. Perfect for stargazing and long walks through the Suffolk countryside. We arrived on a cold weekend, but we were warm and snug with the wood burner which kept the hut warm through the night too! The hosts were truly lovely and greeted us as we arrived and left a host of treats and snacks. The hut itself has everything you need, whether you want to cook in or head out on the short walk across the fields to the pub. Make sure you book in advance for dinner at the pub! Highly highly recommend!. Thank you for making our escape to the countryside one to remember! Sam, (Stayed February 2018)
We have just arrived home after a truly fantastic night away at the scrumpy shepherd. The hut is just beautiful and in fantastic surroundings. It is beautifully finished with everything you could possibly need for a quiet and relaxing break. Daniel and Sarah are fantastic hosts and a real credit to the airbnb experience. On a personal note many thanks for coming out in the dark and delivering a bottle of tonic :) I really can't put enough praise in this little box so do yourself a favour and book it you won't be dissapointed. Once again thank you Daniel and Sarah and we will see you again soon. Mark, (Stayed February 2018)
The shepherds hut was lovely and superbly cosy. The decor was great and the welcoming pack was a thoughtful touch. The location was beautiful and quiet, with the exception of a couple of owl hoots! The owners were welcoming but respected our privacy. They were very quick to respond to any queries that we had. All in all a lovely break Tanya, (Stayed December 2017)
“Great place and our host couldn't have been nicer!” Robin, (Stayed November 2017)
“An enchanting hideaway for a weekend escape - beautifully finished with thoughtful touches. Cosy with the log burner.” Julian , (Stayed October 2017)
This place totally exceeded expectation. Set back from a lovely (silent) lane by an entire field, situated in its own orchard, with a sunflower field next door. The accommodation is far larger than trad huts and was beautifully presented. Stunning detail and care provided by our hosts including delicious local sloe gin, chocs, marshmallows, flowers in a vase etc. Choice of BBQ, firebowl AND internal woodburner to get your firelighting glands going. A genuine lux retreat, deep in Suffolk country. Matt & Emily, (Stayed September 2017)
Scrumpy is fantastic. Brilliantly set in a small orchard and with instant access to surrounding fields. We saw a wonderful sunrise from the adjacent field. The hut is larger than we anticipated and is easily comfortable for two people. The outside area is great for sitting around, having an open fire, (logs are supplied) or even a bbq. We were very impressed with Suffolk, it is the rural England of yesteryear, plenty of farming but plenty of wild land, meadows and woods, and numerous fens full of wildlife and waterways. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Andy, (Stayed August 2017)
This place is an absolute find. I came on my own to get away for a few days and it was ideal. You feel completely secluded and yet also in the middle of nowhere. And I waking up to a field of sunflowers outside my window was pretty special. From the beautiful interior of the hut (loved all the copper piping), fairy lights in the garden, to having marshmallows to toast round the fire, they have thought of everything Tom, (Stayed August 2017)
What a wonderful place to stay! Peaceful setting and the shepherd's hut itself was beautifully furnished & equipped- I couldn't have asked for more...I really didn't want to leave this morning. The little added extras like the coffee, chocolate etc made all the difference. Thank you Sarah for being such a lovely host. Lou x Lou, (Stayed July 2017)
Susan and Daniel are the best hosts we have ever come across. Their welcome was amazing and The Scrumpy Shepherd is a fabulous place to stay. The welcome pack included a home baked cake, wine , freshly ground coffee, chocolate, sloe gin etc etc etc. The 'Hut' is truly six stars set in an idyllic environment. Top notch fixtures and fittings - absolutely fully thought out with the visitors comfort in mind. The area is beautiful, tranquil yet close enough to coast and lovely Suffolk villages and towns. We are veteran Airbnbers and this is the best yet. The online pictures do not do the property justice! Book with confidence. Thank you Sarah and Daniel Bill and Fiona Bill and Fiona, (Stayed July 2017)
