The double bedroom has beautiful views over the natural pond and fields beyond and the sitting room windows and French doors all deliver great rural views across the country garden. The open plan living space has a kitchen area with cooking facilities and a small table and chairs for cosy dining, either inside or on the veranda. This charming lodge is ideal for couples wanting to visit this peaceful part of Suffolk and enjoy some of the best pubs in the county or the 'Castle on the Hill' in the nearby market town of Framlingham.
Please be aware that it is not possible to charge electric vehicles at Little Morley Lodge. EVs like to draw as much power as possible for charging, so that an additional load from other devices may trip the circuit breaker.
Please see the map of Charging stations in Suffolk
We had a wonderful stay :-) and would definitely not hesitate to return if we visit this area again, peaceful wake up to the sound of the birds and a lovely cosy home from home setting Hannah, (Stayed September 2024)
A short but fantastic stay for a friend's wedding. A great little property in a lovely location. Clean with very comfortable and high quality furnishings and bed. Would absolutely recommend. Emma, (Stayed August 2024)
We had a lovely two night stay. It was very relaxing, the grounds are beautiful and the lodge has everything you need. Lots of delightful animals to meet too! Jennie, (Stayed June 2024)
We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. The location was amazing, rural and peaceful, but still well connected - 10 minute drive to local village shops and pubs, 15 minute drive to Framlingham and other great villages. It was the perfect location to explore Suffolk. In the lodge is a bag full of really helpful pamphlets which helped us decide where to explore. Their grounds are on the edge of a beautiful field which we did a lovely hour walk around, and back up in a loop past their very quaint local church, where you can have a look inside. The lodge itself was perfect, fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, very comfy bed, and lovely little snug area with TV (which had terrestrial channels, and DVDs to use). The hosts were warm and accommodating, but also left you at peace. They have a gorgeous little pony, lovely ducks and chickens - and their family dog which is very friendly. PERFECT weekend stay in Suffolk, would highly recommend!! P.s next door has fresh eggs! Floella, (Stayed April 2023)
Thank you again for an amazing stay. The place was really quaint , and perfect for a romantic getaway! We were a little underwhelmed by the bathing situation, as the water pressure was really poor, and took me about 30 minutes to run a bath. But overall hosts were polite and welcoming. Loved being visited by the owners dog :) bed was super comfy and all the furniture was in good condition :) only real downfall was that there were also some live and dead bugs (especially spiders & cobwebs) in cupboards and in saucepans. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and vacation however, the area is isolated, so you have to drive everywhere as all footpaths were a tad overgrown for my liking. However we chose this place for its seclusion and it’s beautiful views. And that’s exactly what you get! Please bear in mind I am super particular so I don’t want my negative points to outweigh the rest of the greatness from this little lodge! I do wish our stay was longer even if for only a couple more days, which shows I loved staying here :) my partner struggled as he is over 6ft and kept hitting hit head, but that gave some comedy to the weekend also! Tara, (Stayed June 2022)
We had a lovely stay here. Really comfy bed and nicely decorated place. I loved the birdsong which was a constant backdrop. We also enjoyed sitting outside in the very peaceful surroundings. Very friendly pub close by in Earl Soham- the Victoria Pip, (Stayed May 2022)
Great little cottage in lovely grounds. Very friendly hosts. We had a great time using it as a base for exploring the coast. Richard, (Stayed April 2022)
Our second lovely stay! As before, a perfectly appointed little lodge with plenty of lovely touches and a very comfy bed. Clean, cosy and quiet. Ian, (Stayed April 2022)
Lovely location, surrounded by a peaceful garden and views of fields. Very comfortable bed and accommodation- perfect for a few days away in beautiful Suffolk. Jane, (Stayed November 2021)
Really enjoyed our stay here. We were lucky with the weather but it was lovely to sit outdoors for breakfast and very peaceful. The cottage had a very cosy feel but was also very bright and airy. Only the bathroom ceiling was low the rest is all high. As for the local area, I felt there was so much to do and we could have stayed for longer. We did the local recommended walk too which took us longer than an hour but stunning views. Would recommend visits to Woodbridge, Framlingham and Helmingham Hall gardens. Pubs/restaurants - recommend Watson&Walpole (gorgeous Italian, you’ll need to book but spectacular food and service), The Victoria (lovely local pub) and The Station hotel pub (great food). Wouldn’t bother with the Crown in framlingham - it was busy and central so we assumed good but v average and much better other places around. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here Sophie, (Stayed October 2021)
This is a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing place in the countryside. Really well equipped, with a comfortable bed and everything you need. The location is fantastic, tucked away in an isolated spot with views of a duck pond and the surrounding fields. The owners are low key, on hand for questions but leave you in peace. Highly recommended - a fabulous spot. Stewart, (Stayed September 2021)
Stayed for 3 nights for the Bank Holiday weekend. Had a lovely relaxing stay. This lodge is absolutely beautiful. Kitted out with everything you need. Comfy sofa and chair in the lounge. Comfy double bed with pretty bedding and big fluffy towels for shower Situated in a peaceful spot on the site overlooking the lake. Recommend a visit to the Owl Sanctuary and if you do go definitely watch the flying show. It was brilliant. Karen, (Stayed August 2021)
We had the loveliest weekend at Little Morley Lodge. Easy to find despite being set away from the road and surrounded by picturesque fields. Loved the nearby company of the pony and the ducks. Beautiful views of the sunset and loved the little touches like the deck chairs outside which suited a glass of wine in the evenings very well. The lodge itself was perfect. Very clean and cosy. Can imagine it being just as nice in Winter too and we had a cake waiting for us when we arrived! The owners introduced themselves but then left us to it but knowing we could ask them if we needed anything was the perfect balance! We had a table booked for a nearby pub on Saturday evening but decided to stay at the Lodge instead to make the most of our time there. The kitchen had everything we needed aswell as bits for the bbq. Would definitely recommened and would love to come back soon! Thank you :) Connie, (Stayed August 2021)
My partner and I stayed at the lodge at the bank holiday weekend, what a beautiful little place it was. We were greeted by the owner Paddy and the ducks! The lodge is totally secluded, has its own driveway, garden, veranda, duck pond, pony! The views were stunning, unfortunately we didn’t have great weather for our trip but we were so cosy in our little hideaway! Local to framlingham only a short car journey and about 40 mins to aldeburgh so it’s a good location too. The village and surrounding areas are very quiet, try and make reservations before you visit as the local pub food serving hours are quite limited. Really enjoyed every moment here and would love to return soon. Sophie, (Stayed August 2021)
Had a lovely stay in Monk Soham, really lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Cottage is really well placed location wise and we were able to visit a lot of Suffolk and Norfolk over 3 days, definitely recommend. Charlotte, (Stayed August 2021)
Great place to stay in beautiful Suffolk. The grounds are fantastic and the outside space feels very private, lovely to relax with a glass of wine by the pond. The hosts Natalie and Paddy are lovely, very responsive and helpful. Thoroughly recommended Deborah, (Stayed August 2021)
Cottage Tree’s Lodge is such a beautifully curated space, in such a quaint and quintessential location. The cottage vibes are glorious and the space had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay! Thank you!! Abrial, (Stayed July 2021)
Great location. Great if you decide not to leave the premises at all and just unwind, which we did for most of our stay. Great if you want to use it as a base for exploring an incredibly beautiful part of the country. Well appointed and comfortable, and presented as expected from the photos. Fiona, (Stayed July 2021)
We had a great stay, the summer house is nice and private and the views are lovely! Very relaxing & we enjoyed watching the sunset on the deckchairs provided. Definitely recommend a trip to Framlingham (we ate in The Crown pub which was nice) & The White Horse Pub in Badingham, massive portions & it was delicious! Emma, (Stayed July 2021)
If you are looking to just chill out in a beautiful and peaceful location Little Morley Lodge is the place to go The cottage itself is clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need and the garden was a delight. We especially enjoyed the visits from Luna the cat and the ducklings with mum Debbie & Mark, (Stayed July 2021)
The perfect Suffolk retreat. This cottage is perfect for exploring Suffolk’s beautiful country towns and coast line. The cottage is cosy and quiet with the occasional chit chat from the local ducks. Nats and Paddy are very responsive and friendly. Would definitely return! Samantha, (Stayed July 2021)

My husband and I really enjoyed the charming cottage and the setting. The light, bright decor was cheering and the garden pond and the Sheltland pony made the setting idyllic. The extremely clean and simple interior has a lovely New England feel. The cottage and the surrounding garden give a true flavour of the countryside living. Do note that mobile signal may not be strong there, if that is a concern for you, as there is no wifi. Of course, that might be the true secret of really getting away from it all! A little slice of rural paradise! JoAnn, (Stayed July 2021)
Lovely quiet lodge in the countryside. Cosy inside and well-equipped. Lots of wildlife to see outside too! Thank you. Emma, (Stayed June 2021)
Beautiful, quiet location. Well decorated and furnished throughout. The bed was very comfortable. Eamonn, (Stayed June 2021)

Lovely secluded lodge in the heart of Suffolk countryside. Easy access to Sutton Hoo and the coast. Mark, (Stayed May 2021)
The idyllic setting we were hoping for, with a south-facing view over farmland and some glorious sunsets. The cabin was cosy and practical. The host was welcoming, consistently responsive, and respectful of Covid guidelines. Highly recommend the local walks and pretty villages. Harvey, (Stayed May 2021)
“We had a wonderful stay in Monk Soham - a really perfect oasis from which to explore the Suffolk Coast. The house was lovely - super cosy and comfortable. We found it a little tricky to find on arrival (our sat nav not the greatest) but generously Natalie guided us in and was fantastic. So grateful to have found this place - really look forward to visiting again.” Polly & Leo, (Stayed November 2020)
“Beautiful little Lodge with everything you could possibly need to get away from it all. Our autumnal visit was super cosy and allowed us to walk, relax and enjoy ourselves in the Suffolk countryside.” Will, (Stayed October 2020)

This is the most lovely miniature base for exploring the area. Warm and cosy and extremely stylishly fitted out, the lodge exactly matches the photos. Quiet and peaceful area, and incredibly good value. The bed is the comfiest I have ever slept in. Delightful touches and lots of care and thought have gone into making this a fantastic place to stay. One word of warning for taller visitors (I’m 6’4”): the bathroom is a little limited on headroom and showering involves a bit of ducking and crouching.” Ian, (Stayed October 2020)
“Great place to get away from it all. The countryside envelopes the cottage and there’s a great sense of calm and quiet. Lots of little touches make for a great experience and it feels like the place gives you a little hug from cake set out on your arrival to the soft furnishings that all make the place feel comfortable. Go and stay at this gem.” Becky, (Stayed October 2020)
Little Morley Lodge is lovely. Beautifully furnished. It's in the most peaceful location but surrounded by plenty of beautiful Suffolk places to visit. We would highly recommend Nicky, (Stayed October 2020)
“We had a wonderful stay, the lodge is in very peaceful surroundings - it’s a perfect little hideaway. It was very quaint, clean and cosy and we really enjoyed our time away - the bed was very comfy and the pony is beyond cute! Thank you for a lovely weekend and also the fantastic restaurant recommendations in Framlingham - Watson & Walpole was incredible and we had a great breakfast in the Common Room. Thanks again Nathalie, (Stayed September 2020)
“A lovely little place in the country. Very quiet and peaceful but within easy driving distance of Framlingham for shops etc., and a pleasant country drive to many other attraction in Suffolk. “The summer house is in a lovely location. On a summer day, it's perfect for lounging around next to the little lake, watch the pony trot, or the dog run around. The location is convenient to get to some bigger towns and beaches in around an hour, while still being out in the country.” Hanif, (Stayed July 2020)

Gorgeous location and lovely hosts x Amanda, (Stayed October 2019)
The lodge was beautiful and really secluded. The owners were great and came to greet us on the first day. The pony and ducks in the garden really made the visit as it was great to sit out front and watch them grazing whilst the sun set. We didn’t go out for food as there were the facilities to cook for ourselves. We went to Framlingham to visit the castle, only 15 minutes drive. Basically it was a great couple of days and would recommend to anyone Jasmine, (Stayed September 2019)
Really pretty place in a lovely setting. A great place if you want to relax and do your own thing. Slept really well, very comfy bed with lots of pillows which I love. Would return if going to Suffolk again. Dara, (Stayed September 2019)
Fantastic place -beautiful surroundings -really comfortable lodge with all you could need to be comfortable and self sufficient (naturally you'll need to bring your own food supplies!). Very friendly and helpful hosts, but also privacy so that you feel you're very much in your own spot. Highly recommended! Katrin & Jasper, (Stayed September 2019)
“We had a lovely few days here. Photos don’t do it justice, a real hidden gem. A perfect space for a getaway. Great recommendations for local pubs and things to do nearby. The lodge was perfectly equipped. Would definitely return.” Sarah, (Stayed July 2019)
The location is perfect and the facilities are great. Suffolk is a well kept secret and this is a small corner of that beauty. Quiet and idillic with almost all the footpaths around the property being well maintained. I say almost, because one was overgrown with crops. Far from a complaint, this is the nature of the Suffolk countryside. Not just gorgeous, Suffolk is also sometimes called 'Britain's Bread Basket'. Those crops are there for a very practical reason and worth making a minor detour for. We hope to go back soon. Maybe for a little longer next time :-) Andy, (Stayed July 2019)
The cottage had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away. The countryside was absolutely perfect. There is a nice pub 50 mins walk away which does food. Natalie was a perfect host - she even took our food delivery in as we arrived late Eleanor, (Stayed July 2019)

The Summerhouse is absolutely beautiful, finished to a good standard, clean and tidy and set in a great location for all the local tourist attractions.
